Noticeboard

Please note from Monday 22nd June the practice will no longer be taking prescription requests over the telephone. Patients may order online, in writing or via the NHS app. Please do not ask our reception staff to take orders over the telephone except in extreme circumstances. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your continued support.

GP Net Earnings

GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings for doctors working to deliver NHS services to patients.

“The average pay for GPs working in the Welbeck Surgery in the last financial year was £52,762 before tax and national insurance.  This is for 2 part time GPs and 1 part time salaried GP who worked in the practice for more than six months

It should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice, it should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make a comparison with any other practice.

In view of the fact that there are few hard and fast guidelines in place we must issue a disclaimer against any actions which may or may not be taken with regard to the publication of this information.”
